1. My sister-in-law got pregnant at last, but my brother is now jobless. :/ Their company was closed. At least they were saving the money, so that will help them to survive for some time. My mother and I will present them a crib, and I will give them Yegorka's clothes and a stroller.
2. Rustam's sister will probably get married soon, so that's a good news too.
3. A month ago some Croatian translation agency "Klara" (http://www.hrenovic.hr/usluge.htm) sent me an email about a translation project. So I was happy at first. For the whole week I translated for them and they were to pay me 500 euro, but I got nothing. They fooled me. Now they simply ignore my emails. Then I found another translator from Italy, who was also fooled by this agency in 2006.
4. Then I have some suspicions about the translator's site transquotation.com/, I payed for the membership in January, and regularly made bids, but I never got any reply from any of the job posters. And I find it strange that I can't contact other translators. Then on another translator's site I found a translator from Spain, who also made bids on transquotation.com. I asked her if she had ever got any reply, and her answer was "no". She had never got any reply as well.
5. Yegorka's godmother gave birth to a girl, they called her Marina, just like me. )))) They live in Kyiv, so we're going to visit them in September. I almost finished crocheting a baby blanket. for little Marinka. :) I'll post a picture when it's ready.
6. I still wait for the frame for my picture. My father always forgets to bring varnish from garage.
7. My mother-in-law is going to come to us on August,30.
I love you all, even though I don't come often here, but I remember you all. :)

We've found a cheaper internet provider and four times faster that the previous one.
Yesterday it was very hot all day and then in the evening we had almost a storm., but not for long. And in the morning I took Yegorka and my mum for a walk to the museum of en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikolay_Ivanovich_Pirogov
Some of the pictures I made there.

Happy Easter!

easter
The whole week of spring-cleaning had passed and yesterday in the evening we went to the church for Easter Vigil. And today my brother and my sister-in-law came for dinner to us. For this Easter I decided to prepare an Easter cake made of country cheese, eggs, cream, raisins, almond nuts and candid fruits. It is very tasty.
Here is a picture of two Easter cakes, one of which my mum baked, and Easter eggs. :)
And I wish all of my friends to be happy. May your life be filled with joy and peace.

Dr Paul Hedeen came to Vinnitsa this autumn again. In spring 2008 at the Foreign Language Institute he taught two courses in literature and an English language tutorial for Academic Olympiad students. This time he published a book of poems , among which there is a poem dedicated to my city, Vinnitsa. Mr Hedeen teaches English at Wartburg College. (http://www.wartburg.edu/eml/hedeen.html)

4lb of love
1/2 lb of good looks
1lb of sweet temper
1lb of butter of youth
1 lb of blindness of faults
1 lb of pounded wit
1 lb of good humour
2 tablespoons of sweet argument
1 pint of rippling laughter
1 wine glass of common sense
dash of modesty

Put the love, good looks and sweet temper into a well-furnished house. Beat the butter of youth to a cream, and mix well together with the blindness of faults. Stir the pounded wit and good humour into the sweet argument, then add the rippling laughter and common sense. Add a dash of modesty and work the whole together until everything is well mixed. Bake gently for ever.

Talking about cats...

Kathyrene's post about her cat inspired me to continue the topic about cats. Several years ago I was given an interesting  book, in which the author compared humans with cats and vice versa.  It described people as cats in a rather funny way. I liked the book very much and made a copy of it. Unfortunately I don't remember the author as I didn't make the copy of the first pages (as a student I tried to save the money), but I know there are other books of this author.
So, I scanned some interesting stories from it. They are about various types of humans as if they were cats. If you are interested, read it and tell me what kind of cat are you? :)Read more... )

Yesterday i found sites with lots of free patterns and scanned magazines on knitting, crochet, embroidering. My head is full of various ideas. I don't know when i'll manage to bring those ideas to life, but i enjoy dreaming. :) I'm now busy with knitting a vest for my aunt. It'll be a nice present for her birthday, i think.
Here are these sites if anybody is interested

The scientists have found some stone sculptures similar to the British Stonehenge in the Carpathians. They think their origin is dating back to the Trypillya culture.(http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/145897/Trypillya-culture)

Today the weather is really gorgeous )) We walked in the park in the morning, it was nice, and then, when we came home, Egorka fell asleep without the help of the pram, I just combed his hair softly, and now he is fast asleep. ))
